You may never get a second chance to have a first response if your marriage is in crisis--especially if you have an unwilling spouse. This kit can be used in a small same gender group, or on your own.

4 things to do (and not do) when your marriage is in crisis:

1. First, ask the leaders of your church if they can help. If your church has a desire to help those in crisis marriages, have them check out our Marriage 911 Leader's Kit or contact us. We can help them get set up!

2. If you are separated, please do not go into a divorce-recovery-type class. You are not divorced...you are still married, and God may allow the pain of your crisis marriage to help you make changes in your life and ultimately save your marriage.

3. If your church does not have a reconciliation in place and is not interested in starting a Marriage 911 Ministry, this First Aid Kit will equip you to start your own group. Ask one or more people (same gender) who want to strengthen or save their marriage to meet weekly to go through this material. You will create a powerful support/accountability group that can be used in the future to begin a reconciliation ministry in your church or community.

4. Stay focused on God (not your spouse) and let Him direct your path. Stay open and ready to reconcile and do not allow third party involvement to interfere. Break it off if you are emotionally or physically attached to someone of the opposite sex. You are vulnerable right now. Let your Christian support system and the Lord fill the loneliness in your heart. It is in the painful times that God often grows us closer to Him.
